Deep learning
Lessons aim for real understanding, not memorising: students connect ideas across subjects and apply them in new situations, so learning is meaningful, mindful and joyful.
Kurikulum Merdeka

Where it is taught
Kurikulum Merdeka groups the years into phases. Early Years to Grade 6, and the Grade 7 Cambridge class, follow the Cambridge programme. Cambridge programme
| Grade | Phase | Classes |
|---|---|---|
| Grade 7 | Phase D | National class (alongside the Cambridge class) |
| Grades 8–9 | Phase D | All classes |
| Grade 10 | Phase E | All classes: a broad base across subjects |
| Grades 11–12 | Phase F | Science (IPA) or Social Studies (IPS) stream |
